Ocean Lakes Family Campground has something going on everyday! We leave the calendars up all year long so you can see what kind of activities we offer when you are planning on visiting. Generally, the monthly calendars are updated a few weeks prior to the upcoming month. The activities are generated through the Recreation Department.

Special Programs for May 2008
Gospel Concert
Performer to be announced.  Held in the Recreation Building.   No fee.

Bluegrass on the Waccamaw
Saturday, May 10th, 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm in Conway
Bring your own chairs and head to Conway.  Located 14 miles from here in downtown historic Conway on the River.  Concert is free and open to the public.  Scheduled to appear is The Lewis Family, Grasstowne, IIIrd Tyme Out, The Bluegrass Strangers, Drovers Old Time Medicine Show, Snyder Family Band,  New River, Country Line Band and Low Country Bluegrass Academy Students.  No cost to attend. No coolers allowed.  Food vendors available at the concert.

International Professional Rodeo Association
May 9th & May 10th, Gates open at 6 pm--Hemingway, SC
See a professional rodeo live.  Calf roping, cowgirl barrel riding, bull riding, etc.  Well worth the drive to Hemingway.  Adults $12 and children under 10 free.  Flyers with a map are available.

Family Night at Dixie Stampede
Enjoy Dixie Stampede at a discounted rate on Wednesday nights.  Ocean Lakes offers a special Family Night rate only on Wednesday nights.  Seats are limited so reserve your spot at the recreation office no later than Tuesday at 3 pm.

Family Night at Legends
Purchase your tickets in the Recreation Office for any night at Legends and receive two free children’s (16 & under) tickets for every one adult ticket that you purchase.

Family Night at the Palace Theatre
Purchase your tickets to see LeGrande Cirque on Tuesday nights at the Recreation Office and receive an additional discount on adult tickets.

Fish Fry-day and Entertainment
Fridays at 6 pm.  Enjoy flounder, cole slaw, French fries, and a drink, along with bingo and/or other entertainment.  $5.00 per person.  Meet at Sandy's Meet-n-Eat.   (No fish fry on 5/23)

Mother’s Day Mini Golf
Sunday, May 11th, 11 am
Bring mom to Sandy Harbor for her free round of mini golf.  The remainder of the group does have to pay to play.

Kids Morning Out
Friday, May 23rd
Registration is from 8:30 am - 9:00 am.  $10 per child, per day.  Ages 4-11.  Crafts, games, physical activity, and snack are included.  Children will need to be picked up by 12 pm.

Teen Ping Pong Tournament
Saturday, May 24th at 11 am
Ages 8-16.  Meet in the Recreation Building to compete.  Prizes to winners.  No fee.

Teen Mini Golf Tournament
Monday, May 26th, 3 pm
Ages 8-16.  Meet at Sandy Harbor Mini Golf to compete.  Prizes to winners.  No fee.

Kids Night Out
Saturday, May 24th, 5 pm - 8:30 pm
Bring your kids to the Recreation Building while you enjoy a night out.  Drop them off at 5 pm and pick them up at 8:30 pm.  Games, crafts, physical activities and a pizza dinner are included.  $15 per child.  Space is limited so stop by the Recreation Office to sign your child up.  (Sign up no later than 3 pm on the day of the event).

Kids Crafts
Friday, May 23rd at 2 pm, Saturday, May 24th at 3:30 pm & Sunday, May 25th at 2 pm.  Ages 4-11.  Space is limited so sign your child up in the Recreation Office.  Craft fee to be paid at time of class.  Check in the Recreation Office to find out what craft we will offer.

Wet & Wild Pool Games
Saturday, May 24th & Sunday, May 25th at 1 pm
Join us at the pool for an hour of poolside fun and games for the entire family.  No fee.

Adult Horseshoe Tournament
Sunday, May 25th at 3 pm
Meet at the horseshoe pits to compete.  Prizes to winners.  No fee.

Family Scavenger Hunt
Saturday, May 3rd, 10th, 17th, & 24th at 2 pm
Meet us in the Recreation Building to pick up your list of questions.  The answers can be found within the campground.  There will also be some items that you will need to find and bring back with you.  Golf carts, bicycles, or cars are recommended, but not mandatory.  Prizes to winners!  No fee.

Daily/Weekly Activities for May 2008
Water Aerobics
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8 am in the indoor pool.  Join our qualified instructor for a class of aerobic conditioning, toning exercises, and movement for rehab and arthritis. All levels are welcome.  No fee.  

Muscle Conditioning/Yogacise
Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 8 am
Start the day off in a healthy way. Low impact aerobic classes are held in the Recreation Building.  

Coffee and News
Mondays – Fridays  Start the morning with a cup of coffee and the daily news.  Newspapers are available for reading in the Recreation Building.  No fee.

Family Ceramics
Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10 am in the Recreation Building, room C.  Class fee is $1.50 plus the cost of bisqueware.  

Bingo
Mondays & Wednesdays at 7 PM is Bingo night at Ocean Lakes. We will play 10 games, limit 1 card per person. Games are free of charge.

Adult Mini Golf
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 9 am
Meet at the mini golf course for our tournament.  Prizes to winners.
