Ocean Lakes Family Campground has something going on everyday! We leave the calendars up all year long so you can see what kind of activities we offer when you are planning on visiting. Generally, the monthly calendars are updated a few weeks prior to the upcoming month. The activities are generated through the Recreation Department.

Summer Activities 2008
July is our busiest month of the year! Ocean Lakes has been a tradition in many families since 1971 when it comes the the July 4th holiday. In fact, many of our guests made their reservations for the weeks surrounding July 4th nearly 18 months in advance! This is sometimes overwhelming to new members of the Ocean Lakes' family. We encourage first timers to not be discouraged. Often things happen that cause a percentage of our guests to cancel - who knows - you may have had a vacation on July 4th with only a week's notice due to another guest's cancellation. See our cancellation policies here.

Every thing kicks into high gear during the summer months at Ocean Lakes Family Campground. June, July and part of August feature our Summer Activities calendar. You'll find something for everyone in your family - no matter the age.

Ocean Lakes feels pets deserve their special day too!  In honor of all pets we’ve decided to have a Pet Celebration Day.  This year we will do a Pet Parade and judging will be based on the best-dressed Independence Pet.  Contest prizes include free nights of camping, and other great stuff.  All pets are $5 each to enter and all contest money will be given to Ark Animal Hospital’s Noah Program. The Noah Program relies on donations to help injured and stray animals get well and find a special family to love them. Stop by their booth and visit their pets to see if maybe your that special someone.

Crowd friendly pets welcome.  All pet policies apply.
Pets welcome in the Recreation Building for the Pet Celebration.
Please sign up in advance at the Rec. Office. 10 am, Recreation Building
