Road Construction Updates
Currently there are several road construction projects going on throughout
the Grand Strand and Horry County. Guests can still arrive at Ocean Lakes
via the same routes they have always taken, but need to be prepared for delays.
Construction on Highway 17 Bypass is primarily located in Myrtle Beach near the
501 interchange and the Myrtle Beach International Airport interchange.

Alternate Routes (versus Highway
544):
From Florence: Hwy 501 to Anyor to Hwy. 22 will take you to the
"Restaurant Row" area of Myrtle Beach (30 minutes/18 miles north of Ocean Lakes).
Choice of Highway 17 Bypass to Hwy 544 exit for Surfside; or Highway 17 Business
to Ocean Lakes entrance. (Also see below...)
From Florence: Hwy 501 to Anyor to Hwy. 22, exit onto Highway 31 (Veterans
Highway), follow Hwy 31 to Hwy 501 exit to Myrtle Beach. Choice of Highway
17 Bypass to Hwy 544 exit for Surfside; or Highway 17 Business to Ocean Lakes entrance.
From North Myrtle Beach: Hwy 9 to Hwy 17 in North Myrtle Beach (28
miles north of Ocean Lakes). Take Hwy 17 to Myrtle Beach. At "Restaurant Row" area
have a choice of Highway 17 Bypass to Hwy 544 exit for Surfside; or Highway 17 Business
to Ocean Lakes entrance. OR... From Hwy 9 take Hwy 31 to Hwy 544 towards Surfside
Beach.
